Reiki: Modern Astrology

Just thought I would pop-out a quick post before I trot off onto my Sunday. A Sunday which will be perfectly decorated with sleeping in until 7 (ha!), 2 cappuccinos, a breakfast burrito, gardening, cleaning out my closet and then a movie. Okay it’s a little much but it’s MY day!

I read my weekly horoscope…you can find yours here…(scroll down for your personalized sign) it mentioned that I follow the rule (if you will) of Ahimsa….which is literally translated from Sanskrit to “not harm”. I’ve been on the bad side of a stick or two in my life. I’ve read up on Buddhism and try to practice it in my life. I love the foundations of Buddhism. Compassion and treating others well. The idea of not harming…I love! Don’t do wrong. You don’t have to necessarily help everyone in your life, just don’t hurt others through your thoughts, your actions and your words. Do the right thing. In the past few months I’ve experienced an influx of run-ins with assholes. I even thought to myself the other day (in regards to people in my life and people in the public eye) “Can’t everyone just stop being assholes!?” If I could put one message out to the world it would be: “Stop being an asshole! Just be a good person!” It sounds simple but I think it is easier said than done. Perhaps because there are a large number of people out there that don’t scrutinize their own actions. Think about everything you do and say everyday. Think about how you treat others. Almost everything you do impacts another living being. Even that tiny insect crawling through the grass outside your window. Yes him! His name could be Tuba or Raul! He could have a family and thoughts and feelings! You don’t know…don’t make assumptions and prejudgements!

Anyway, sorry about Raul…. thought I would share Ahimsa with ya’ll in case you are sick of assholes, or are one and could use a soulful renovation! Try it! See if it fits!
