Ai Weiwei is here.

28-8-2012

Now that summer’s almost over, the crowds are about to leave as well. This means it’s time to finally stroll through the Smithsonians relatively undisturbed. Two noteworthy exhibits from Ai Weiwei (Chinese contemporary artist/political dissident/Olympic venue architect) have been in town since late-Spring!

The oh-so-famous Zodiac Heads at the Hirshhorn, on display until February 2013. And Perspectives at the Sackler Gallery until April 2013. And if you’re curious to see what all the fuss is all about: art aside, political dissidence in focus — Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry may be in a theater near you.
