The Rising Cost of Therapy

I am sure most of you will be familiar of the term retail therapy. I am putting psychologists out of business with how much I promote this concept. Maybe its my love for clothes, objects, or perhaps I just go looking for an excuse to shop.. but friends, I can’t stop myself. Its becoming a real problem. In my defense, I should mention that I am a real money savvy shopper. I did not pay the original price for any one of these items except the dress (which I am still waiting to receive in the mail- anxiously). Most of these items I found online, or designer consignment shops where they are heavily marked down. The Michael Kors bag was gifted, the Isabel Marant Blackson Boot was previously owned by someone else, Isabel Marant Bobby Sneaker in Khaki was a consignment find, the Prada Sunglasses and A.L.C silk top were purchased off eBay, and the Zodiac Mirror was purchased from a design studio in Dallas. I could never justify spending the original amount on these Marant shoes, especially since I think she has the worst quality out of all the designers I own. I feel they are very cheaply made, and there is an evident lack of support for my feet.
I studied psychology in University and received a bachelors in it. At one point I wanted to become a therapist, however after reaping the benefits of retail therapy I have decided otherwise. It’s quite an addiction, once you get stated, you just want more and more and it doesn’t stop. You always tell yourself, “okay just one more purchase,” and then soon enough your on your third or fourth. I have acquired all these items since the start of this year, and in my defense I work about 4 jobs to a) afford my taste for the finer things, b) I like to stay busy, and c) as my boss states, “I like to hoard money.”
